The Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation’s Buy-Give-Get Bikes program’s success has resulted in the distribution of 1,800 bikes to children of military families across the Northeast. Ocean State Job Lot has worked with the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, USA Veterans, and other veteran services to distribute the bikes to military families.
“Riding a bike is one of life’s simple joys, and for a kid, there is nothing like the freedom a bike affords,” said David Sarlitto, Executive Director, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. “We are thrilled to have this opportunity to provide quality bicycles to children whose parents have sacrificed so much, and we thank our loyal customers for their support in this effort.”
This program has supplemented OSJL’s traditional summer Buy-Give-Get backpack program and its fall Buy-Give-Get winter coat program. Since the start of Buy-Give-Get in 2016, OSJL has provided over 300,000 coats to veterans in need and 200,000 backpacks to children in need, including those from military families.
We thank you for your support.
