At the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation, we believe that a nutritious meal is more than just sustenance—it’s a message of hope and a reminder to our neighbors that they are not alone. Ocean State Job Lot has created the Mission Kitchen food trailer, designed to bring fresh meals directly to underserved communities.

Launched in July 2026, the Mission Kitchen had a two-day debut at Ocean State Job Lot’s corporate headquarters and distribution center, inviting associates to take a look and grab a refreshment.

The Mission Kitchen’s first community event was held at the John H. Rollins Recreation Center in Providence, RI, in partnership with Community Angels. There was a ribbon-cutting with local and state officials in attendance. Kids from the community were invited to the center for a magic show with Mr. Magic, and they received lunch from the Mission Kitchen, along with special shirts and toys from the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation!
