A very special doll donation recently went to a Waterbury, CT family from our Charitable Foundation. Nate, who is 10 years old and adopted by one of his teachers, suffers from sickle cell anemia and lost limbs in 2019 due to his condition. His younger sister received a custom disability awareness doll to help her understand and adapt to Nate’s health, as well as teach her the importance of resilience and overcoming obstacles.
