On Friday, February 6, Feed RI hosted a coat distribution event in Rumford, RI, with a large donation of coats from the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. There were 2,400 coats given out to community members in need, in a variety of sizes.
“We are so grateful to Ocean State Job Lot for helping us provide for our neighbors during these extremely cold temperatures,” said Jennifer Lima, Director of Operations of Feed RI. “This initiative allows us to give beyond the spoon, aimed to offer additional comfort and reassurance this winter to those we serve.”
