In celebration of Earth Day this year at Ocean State Job Lot’s headquarters in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, corporate and distribution center associates welcomed multiple green-initiative local businesses to learn more about what each is doing in the community to support the environment. Those companies included representatives from:

- Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources
- Rhode Island Blood Center
- Narrow River Preservation Association
- Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council

Hosted by Ocean State Job Lot’s Green Team, the day was both informative and fun, with raffles, giveaways and different learning opportunities to highlight the importance of reducing waste and keeping our environment clean. Donned in special Earth Day shirts, our associates and volunteers were able to spend time perusing tables for information on topics from renewable energy and recycling, to solar power and giving back to the community.

Ocean State Job Lot prioritizes the importance of recycling and reusing our materials within our stores, warehouse and corporate offices.
