What’s Dubai-Style Chocolate? It’s a special milk chocolate with pistachio filling and Kadayif biscuits. It was invented in 2021 by Sarah Hamouda, a British-Egyptian engineer who was living in Dubai and inspired by her food cravings during pregnancy to combine chocolate with pistachio, tahini, and knafeh (a Middle Eastern dessert made of Kadayif, syrup, and a soft cheese). That was the start of what would ultimately become Dubai-Style Chocolate.
The consistency of the filling can range from finely ground to a paste. Meanwhile, the creamy textures of the pistachio and tahini contrast with the crunch of the Kadayif.
Dubai-Style Chocolate is viewed as a trendy snack among young people, particularly with social media influencers. But it’s something awesome that anyone can share with family and friends.
