The Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation’s Buy-Give-Get PJs and shoes program’s success has resulted in the distribution of pajamas and shoes to nearly 46,000 children in need.
Ocean State Job Lot has been working with iHeartMedia and Big Brothers Big Sisters to distribute the pajamas and shoes to families in need.
“We’re proud to have launched this new Buy-Give-Get promotion in conjunction with our partners at iHeartMedia and Big Brothers Big Sisters to provide tens of thousands of pajama sets and shoes to children in communities throughout the Northeast,” said David Sarlitto, Executive Director, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. “These items are necessities that no child should go without, and we are glad to make a difference in the lives of young people throughout the region.”
OSJL offers several Buy-Give-Get programs throughout the year to assist underserved communities. Over the years, OSJL has partnered with its customers to donate hundreds of thousands of backpacks to students and warm winter coats, hats, and gloves to veterans. Earlier this year, OSJL’s first-ever Buy-Give-Get bikes program provided 1,800 bikes to families across the region including military families.
The Buy-Give-Get PJs and shoes program supplemented OSJL’s traditional summer Buy-Give-Get backpack program and its fall Buy-Give-Get winter coat program. Since the start of Buy-Give-Get in 2016, OSJL has provided over 300,000 coats to veterans in need and more than 200,000 backpacks to children in need, including those from military families.
Thank you to our customers and partners for helping us to support our communities!
