The OSJL Charitable Foundation Gives Back to PA

Celebrating the grand openings of new Ocean State Job Lots stores in Harrisburg and Trexlertown, PA, the OSJL Charitable Foundation made a generous donation of 500 backpacks to local YMCAs. The Harrisburg store’s efforts benefited the Friendship YMCA with 250 backpacks, and the Trexlertown store supported the Allentown YMCA with another 250 backpacks.

 

 

Seven Grand Openings, Seven Communities Supported

We’re thrilled to announce seven recent grand openings across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, each marked by significant donations to local organizations. Our efforts are making a difference, with a total of 165 Operation Sleep Well Kits, 500 backpacks, and a kayak package, which were distributed to organizations in Dover, DE; North Conway, NH; Morrisville, VT; Dansville, NY; Cape May, NJ; Somers Point, NJ; and Easton, MD.

 

 

Seymour, CT OSJL Reopens, Bolsters Community with Food Bank Donation

The Ocean State Job Lot store in Seymour, CT recently celebrated its reopening. During the event, the OSJL Charitable Foundation generously donated a pallet of food to the Seymour Oxford Food Bank Inc, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the community by providing essential food and basic needs. Forced to close last August due to devastating floods, the store’s return marks a significant step forward for the community.

 

The Ocean State Job Lot Green Team October 2024 Cleanup

On October 7th, 2024, the Ocean State Job Lot Green Team, led by our Sustainability Team, met to do their annual fall garden cleanup at our corporate office in North Kingstown, RI.
