At the end of last week, nearly 1,000 warm winter coats were donated to Disabled American Veterans in Connecticut for an upcoming distribution event to support veterans in need. An additional 1,000 coats will go to Operation Stand Down in Connecticut, which will support five other Operation Stand Down groups in the Northeast. While we’re still seeing above-average temperatures, winter is right around the corner and preparation is crucial, especially for people in need.
